Mir & Mir started off in the late 1970s under the name of ‘Raja Mir Muhammad Law Associates’ with a team of 3 lawyers led by the founding partner Mr. Raja Mir Muhammad. Within a few years of its inception, the name ‘Raja Mir Muhammad’ came to be known as a symbol of excellence and professionalism in criminal practice and human rights cases. The firm practiced predominantly on the criminal side, specializing in trials, bail applications and criminal appeals, with occasional handling of constitutional, civil and family matters.
In 2004, with the induction of Mr. Mohammad Mansoor Mir as the second partner, the firm was rechristened as ‘Mir & Mir’ and diversified its areas of practice into full scale commercial, admiralty, constitutional, banking and election matters, alongside its traditional criminal practice. Since then, the firm has successfully conducted numerous cases for its clients and has played a key role in the development of law and establishing landmark judicial precedents both in criminal and civil litigation.
